if it were to happen as an "first step" type of thing. It's not likely we are to receive any type of PvE but I just eanted to share an idea.
Simple PvE, As a way to introduce it simply, bring it in as an ambush type of gamemode and have a small team of 6 or 8 enter for one match and they have to (depending on which ambush type) either destroy all the drones infesting the area or search and destroy 3 drone hives in ideal locations, but the locations are randomized so it's not the same every time to where your just farming.
Basically think of the terminate all drones as the standard ambush And the search and destroy is the OMS ambush.
And just so it's not too easy or hard, let the difficulty of the drones be either randomized for everyone, or dependent on the individual players themselves; so if it's a team of newberries, the drones will be in "easy" mode, and for bets they'll be in "hard" mode and then the moderate people will get the "medium" mode and so fourth.
This would really give us an incentive to play other than just fight other real people and could also relieve some stress people have when playing this game. And it would also give the new players a chance to do something that doesn't involve getting slaughtered by the vets of this game and will probably attract (and possibly keep or bring back) newer players to the game and for some people relieve stress from playing against other people. GÇô------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Onto the new player experience, What ever happened to our basic tutorial that we had for our newberries? If anything, some of our newer players need that, even if it was too easy or basic, it at least notified the player how to do some things and see how the game works.
We should bring back that tutorial and make it better if possible. Believe it or not, even that simple tutorial helps out a lot, as discussed with some other mercs. That I knew, one said that he never even knew about being able to fit a different suit until 2-3 months later; considering that's even a possibility for someone else to not know or anything else they may not know, that's one of many obvious signs we need a user-friendly NPE tutorial covering over the basics of the game first, then later on we can add to that to cover and discuss the different races and gear they use, and than thirdly, the player to player interactions that can be made and how to join/make corps, do PC's and how they work, and other possibilities for those players.
